About This Property
One of the nicest and most beautiful cattle farm/ranches in Panama with excellent soil, plenty of water and with excellent infrastructure in tip-top condition. Located about 10 minutes from Dolega, about 35 minutes from the City of David in Chiriqui, and about 40 minutes from Boquete.
Pastures are recently planted. Electric fencing. Everything is natural on this farm and environmentally friendly.
All infrastructure is excellent and consist of a large equipment shed, horse stables, very large cattle shed, cattle squeeze chute, big chicken coup area, and a smaller home near main house that can be used for employee residence. All this has been built by a former welder in US ship yards and built to last with heavy gauge materials. Excellent drainage is installed covering all the infrastructure areas.
A large amount of crushed rock was laid in all the infrastructure areas for ease of getting around in all weather conditions and found to be very useful for gentlemen farmers who especially like to keep their shoes dry in the wet season.
High strength concrete sidewalks/footpaths were specially made to connect the house area with the infrastructure such as equipment shed, stables etc. Outside toilets and showers are installed for the employees.
The farm comes with a tractor and associated equipment, cattle truck etc.
The land is predominantly flat with nearly no rocks and very good soil types. A soil report with detailed analysis was commissioned by the current owner that covers the whole property.
Excellent soils for growing a wide variety of crops including pineapple are here with one of the largest pineapple plantations located next door. The soils in front of home (about 100+ha) are excellent for pineapple. The remaining soils are great for a large variety of other crops. The farm is currently all in pasture and used for cattle grazing. Areas of bamboo are grown on the property that are handily used on the farm being a type of so called green steel.
The ranch has 2 rivers and 5 creeks with all year round water. The southern river runs though the farm (ie own the land on both sides of the river) and the northern river also runs through the farm in part and straddles its borders. 5 water concessions for planting crops including use for future fish farming are included in this sale.
The house was fully renovated from its original building. All wood cabinets and drawers in 3 bedrooms were created and installed by the carpenters that designed and installed in Martha Stewart's home. About 2 - 3 hectares of grass lawn exists around the house with some beautiful older trees. Tasty fruit from large very productive mango trees exist around the house. Pecan trees also exist sporadically on the property. In addition, easy to grow are many other different types of fruit trees which also exist on the property including orange, tangerine (mandarin), lemon, grapefruit, maracuya (pashion fruit), grapefruit, etc. An old original outside under back verandah brick oven exists still usable for bread making and other uses.
The farm has a very large lake that is also good for future fish farming (eg tilapia for a North American market). A smaller lake also exists near the larger lake.
Fishing is good in the lake and rivers. The waters in Panama are some of the best and purest in the World.
The farm can be used for a number of different commercial ventures or just an excellent get away for tranquility. The farm has several hard working trusted employees vetted over years and simply renting out the land for cattle grazing (an income per head) which can pay for all the farm expenses and maintenance to keep the farm in excellent condition all year round if you are too busy. This is excellent for retirement gentleman farmer with an existing current manager to run it for you or as a commercial farmer.
An abundance of different bird types exist on this property.
Hard to find a farm like this in Panama.
Listed under Boquete and David due to proximity.
A bit too much land or can't quite swing the amount? How about 138 acres of this farm? Link here.
